North American Hand Built Show | Hartford, CT February 16-18

Ahead of NAHBS we teased the unveiling of WAKE [D] 6560 on a stunner BH G7 “Something wicked this way comes.” BH has been instrumental in our photography content, particularly Matt Sodnicar, and this photo becoming our most liked Instagram post to date was a great tailwind going into the weekend.

NAHBS and the “stunner” theme didn’t relent for the entire weekend. Aidan Duff and Aaron Marsh at FiftyOne Bikes | | welcomed us into their booth with open arms and Irish Whiskey. Dave Powers of Powers Endurance Sports, Boston University Rowing Team alum, worked with FiftyOne on a lights out disc road bike showcased in the booth.  With the Head of the Charles course mapped on the inner fork legs, our new WAKE [D] 6560s could not have been on a more fitting bike!

NAHBS is the very best that cycling has to offer. All personality, no fluff. Conversations are real, candid, and fueled by a shared optimism that passion for craft matters. We felt at home, talking shop, and getting deep into the weeds on the how and why Princeton CarbonWorks came to be. Kind ears from the likes of John Jones at Jones Precision Wheels | | John Siegrist and Johannes Schmidt at Dean Titanium | | Bryce Gracey at No. 22 Bikes | | and even competitors at Boyd Racing were happy to shoot the breeze of getting product right.  NAHBS gave us a chance to fortify existing relationships, catch up on the look and feel of new product from old friends, conversations bright and fresh after a hardy handshake, high five or clap on the back.  Thomas at Horse | | Dusty and Nick at Boo | | Mark at Roula, Tony at Allied | | and finally Todd at TTBikeFit | | we’ve been helped along by great people.

Ultimately it’s a video that captures our stomping grounds while at the show.  Zap from Road Bike Action gave a breakdown of the FiftyOne fleet, and at the end of his video he gave us a nice shout out.

When you find what you like, you find who you are – NAHBS is all of that! We were thrilled to be amongst the passion-filled community and look forward to pulling on all of the threads from the weekend.
